Aerolite® gaskets are manufactured in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, under ISO 9001:2015, and shipped to Australian plants, contractors and distributors against your specification.
TBJ-UTEX Industries has manufactured industrial sealing products since 1994. We have no office or stock in Australia. Every order is made or cut in Malaysia to the standard and dimensions you specify, then shipped to the port you nominate. This page sets out what we make, which standards we work to, and how an export order runs, so that an engineer or buyer can decide quickly whether a quotation is worth requesting.
Most Australian process and mining sites run a mix of ASME flanges on imported equipment and AS 2129 or AS 4087 flanges on local pipework. We work to both.
| ASME B16.20 and B16.5 | Spiral wound, ring joint and kammprofile gaskets manufactured to ASME B16.20 for ASME B16.5 flanges, in the sizes and pressure classes the standard covers. The spiral wound and kammprofile ranges carry API 6FB fire-safe certification. |
| AS 2129 Table D and E, AS 4087 | Sheet, PTFE, graphite and rubber gaskets cut to Australian flange tables from your drawing or stated dimensions. Metallic gaskets for these tables are wound or machined to the same drawing. Send the table, nominal size and pressure class with the enquiry. |
| DIN and EN 1514 | European flange dimensions for equipment supplied to DIN or EN standards, on the same basis as ASME. |
| Materials | Windings in SS316L as standard, with carbon steel and other alloys quoted on request. Fillers in flexible graphite or PTFE. Sheet materials include compressed non-asbestos fibre, virgin and expanded PTFE, tanged-insert graphite and industrial rubber grades. |
| Quality system | ISO 9001:2015 certified. API 6FB fire-safe certificates held for spiral wound, kammprofile and tanged graphite gaskets. View certificates |
The products below are the ones Australian enquiries most often concern: oil and gas, mineral processing, water treatment, power generation and chemical plants. Each link opens the technical page with dimensions, temperature limits and a downloadable datasheet.
ASME B16.20, API 6FB fire safe. SS316L windings with graphite or PTFE filler, inner and outer rings to suit the flange class.
R, RX and BX profiles to ASME B16.20 for API 6A wellhead and high-pressure flanges. Dimension chart.
Serrated metal core with graphite or PTFE facing, API 6FB fire safe, for heat exchangers and large-diameter flanges. Heat exchanger page.
Type E, F and D isolating gaskets with sleeves and washers for cathodic protection on pipelines.
NA3100 to NA4420 grades, supplied as sheet or cut to your drawing on CNC tables. Cutting service.
Virgin, expanded, glass-filled and filled PTFE, plus envelope gaskets for glass-lined equipment.
Homogeneous and SS316L tanged-insert graphite for steam and high-temperature service.
NBR, FKM, EPDM and silicone to AS568, ISO 3601 and JIS B 2401 sizes.
Neoprene, EPDM, silicone, FKM and insertion rubber, cut to gaskets or supplied as sheet.
If your specification names another maker's grade, the cross-reference chart lists the Aerolite® grade built the same way, for CNAF sheet, graphite sheet, kammprofile, PTFE and O-rings.
Email the flange standard and size, pressure class, gasket type, material and quantity. A drawing or a photograph of a sample is enough for non-standard sizes.
You receive a written quotation in US dollars, with the lead time quoted for that order against your specification and quantity. No lead time is promised before the order is defined.
FOB or CIF, through the Port of Tanjung Pelepas or Singapore, to the Australian port you nominate. Freight mode and packing are agreed at quotation.
Material traceability and test certification travel with each order, so your goods-inwards inspection has what it needs on arrival.

Many Australian specifications name a gasket by an incumbent brand and style number. Aerolite® spiral wound, kammprofile, ring joint and sheet gaskets are made to the same published dimensional standards, so a Flexitallic®, Garlock®, Lamons® or KLINGER® reference can usually be matched on dimensions from the style number and flange details. Send the reference with the enquiry and we will confirm the matching Aerolite® construction.
Cross-references are dimensional. Suitability for a given service is determined by the material, pressure and temperature stated in your specification, and should be verified by your engineer before substitution. Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners; TBJ-UTEX Industries is not affiliated with, licensed by, or endorsed by any of them.
Email is the quickest route. Send drawings, specifications and quantities to enquiry@tbj.com.my.
